Cat's Out of the Bag

I quit my job yesterday. I put in my letter of resignation for 2 weeks so Jan 3. is my last day. I've decided to continue graduate school and I couldn't continue to do full-time work and full-time school. This year I was planning to finish my MS in APPHN or Advanced Practice Public Health Nursing (aka APHN) and become board certified, but I started thinking in Summer 2013 wanted to do something more. So I worked it out with the assistant dean to get a Generic MS in Nursing (which believe me is still as much work as the APPHN minus a few classes). Then I would be eligible for any DNP/PhD or Post-Master programs. So as the year went on I started becoming more interested in pediatrics since I work with families with children with chronic disease or developmental delays or both. I really enjoy this field and so I needed to finish school ASAP. So behind the scenes I worked at a residency at a local Development & Behavior clinic. I can't wait to start!
