So we had a patient come in and we did a CPS report on them. We had some clinic issues so that we couldn't fax/e-mail the report. I had completely forgotten about the simple idea of picking up the phone and just calling them to let them know our situation and figure out how to get them the information they needed. When you make a CPS report, the provider has 36 hours to fax or mail it in. However since our CPS had been having problems with their fax, they weren't upset at all about not getting it within that time frame. The PNP had asked me if I had called and I didn't even think to do that (duh!). Lesson learned for the future, for sure.
